Grete Waitz Dead: 9-Time NYC Marathon Winner Dies At 57
OSLO, Norway -- Grete Waitz, a Norwegian runner who won nine New York City Marathons and the silver medal at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, has died after a six-year battle with cancer.
